Cruiser Ship Aurora

The cruiser Aurora is a museum ship permanently docked at the Neva River embankment. It is famous for its role in the October 1917 Revolution. A volley of cannon fire from the ship served as the signal for the storm of the Winter Palace and marked the beginning of the armed uprising. The event of that day set stage for the creation of the Soviet state that lasted for over 70 years.
